Clean and Green Energy Policy 2025
Telangana’s Clean and Green Energy Policy 2025 has unlocked ₹29,000 crore for bioenergy investments, including new joint ventures with major oil marketing companies to develop large-scale CBG plants. The state targets CBG integration in city gas distribution, with ambitious plans for plant deployment across multiple districts

Andhra Pradesh, in partnership with leading technology firms, is rolling out state-of-the-art biogas purification and advanced anaerobic digestion technologies, supporting compact, high-yield plant models and generating significant local employment
Central Government Initiatives
Central Government Initiatives
National biogas and CBG targets are set at 5,000 commercial-scale plants by 2030, under flagship schemes like SATAT and mandatory blending obligations for city gas distribution (starting at 1% in 2025-26 and rising to 5% by 2028-29).
Policy initiatives guarantee offtake pricing, encourage private investment, and prioritize CBG integration in transport and cooking fuel, aiming to decarbonize energy and generate rural income
